Festival Mission & Entry Info

Mission Statement for SCC Teen Theatre Festival

• The SCC Teen Theatre Festival will endeavor to:
• Encourage area middle schools and high schools to engage actively in theatre arts education.
• Emphasize theatre arts education with the spirit of competition serving as a learning dynamic for the Festival.
• Promote Somerset Community College and its educational programs.
• Encourage participants to learn to love the art in themselves!

Festival Entry

• Initial Participation Interest In order to assure a slot at the Festival, invited schools will submit the "Intent to Participate" form indicating that they plan to participate in the Festival. The form must be completed and signed by the sponsoring teacher.
• Individual Entry Each participant must register individually. In order to secure a slot in any of the appropriate areas of the performance auditions, the student must submit a completed “Audition Registration Form” along with their non-refundable $10.00 registration fee. Slots are given on a first come-first served basis.

Fees

• $10.00 per student participating in auditions.
• $5.00 per student not participating in auditions.
• No fee for teachers and sponsors.
