9 Easy Steps!

Complete the following steps to enroll as a student at Somerset Community College

1. Complete and submit the SCC application for admission. There are three ways to apply:

1. Fill out a PDF application and mail it to us. (Free)
2. Fill out a KCTCS online application. (Free)
3. Pick up an application at the Admissions Office. (Free)
   
   2. Decide on a program of study and when you want to begin classes.
   
   3. Request your official  high school transcript or GED scores.
   
   4. If you have attended college before, request official college (or military) transcripts from any/all colleges you have attended.
   
   5. Submit official ACT scores or COMPASS test results.
   
   6. Determine how you will pay your tuition. The College accepts cash, check or credit card. There are three ways to pay your tuition:
4. Federal financial aid – To apply visit www.fafsa.ed.gov.
5. Scholarships – Visit the Scholarships section of this website
6. Payment Plan – KCTCS's interest-free monthly payment plan called the FACTS Plan.
   
   7. Register for New Student Orientation.
   
   8. Attend New Student Orientation.
   
   9. Stay connected with your advisor or counselor.
